Workshop
Directive
A workshop and a year. 1985. Extend what debuted — never copy it. Authenticity built in, not applied. Endurance by construction. Heritage material. Modern method. Rich in history. Relevant today.
The Space
Industrial. Lab-like. Concrete floor, metal desks, metal shelving. Boxes lined floor to ceiling — current stock, archived runs, reference units. One station for product research: deadstock originals, press archives, specification logs. One station for platform and customer operations. One station for packing and shipping. One photo studio for content production. Nothing decorative. Everything functional.
Reference
Deadstock originals sourced from collectors, auction platforms, personal archives. Each reference unit documented against period press — Nike Chronicles and equivalent specialized publications. Weave density, texture, profile, length — cross-referenced to production-year specification. The reference is the constraint. The product follows.
The Crew
A small crew of collectors. The collection preceded the workshop. The knowledge preceded the product.
Issuance
Every unit issued with an archival card and an archival bag. Pouches produced in RPC — extra-large sealing, heavy-gauge material, eco-grade ink. Cards printed on DE premium stock by a family press in the south of France. Kits finished on the finest grade cardboard available domestically.
Position
Authenticity as method. Endurance as outcome. Rich in history. Relevant today.
